Do you want your puppy to be well-behaved with other dogs?

Are you worried about getting socialisation wrong and ending up with a dog who is too excitable or even aggressive around other dogs?

Invest in your puppy's future and say goodbye to future reactivity problems!

A course that will guide your puppy towards becoming a well-mannered, confident canine who you can take anywhere. A chance for well-managed, safe and enjoyable interactions with fellow puppies and people, this course will expose your puppy to a variety of experiences that will help them learn how to be a dream on the lead and off the lead in public settings.

Most dog owners either under socialise their puppies which leads to fearful, anxious dogs who are scared of their own shadow OR they over socialise which can turn your cute ball of fluff into a menace of a mutt who is obsessed with playing with dogs.

That’s why I developed my 3-week Safe Socialisation course will give your puppy the skills to be able to interact calmly,

walk past nicely and recall immediately from other dogs.

This course will set your puppy up to be happy and confident around other dogs, making them the perfect companions in parks, pubs and cafes!

You will learn the skills to ensure you never become the owner who is dragged across the road to another dog or repeatedly shouting across the park for your dog to come back.

These problems are very common but easily preventable!

Classes are held indoors at Oswestry Rugby Club - 3 weeks long

Frequently Asked Questions

How many other puppies will be in my class?

  • Busy classes can be noisy and overwhelming for both puppies and parents, which does not teach your dog to be calm around dogs and can sometimes even scare puppies for life! Our puppy classes are limited to 4 puppies only, to make sure you all get a positive and personal experience.

I am worried my puppy will disrupt the class, what if they don’t settle?

  • I don’t expect your puppy to be really settled. I will help you settle your puppy when needed, and we always look at ‘Settle’ first in week 1 so you’ll be able to go away and practise. I have lots of tips and tricks to help the puppies settle, however, if they are too anxious and mega barky, then changing to 121’s may be discussed if we believe that’s what is best for everyone.

Will my puppy get to play with other dogs?

  • Hmm.. depends on the puppies. We don’t allow an uncontrollable rough and tumble time as this is not helpful for your dog's learning. I make sure the exercises are helpful for all puppies involved. If the pups are a good match, we will have some off-lead play time, however, this is well-managed and is used for training purposes and confidence building. Often, the off-lead time is calm and puppies will learn to ignore each-other instead of ‘Playing’.

Will there be any follow-on classes?

  • Absolutely. Teenage classes for more training will be available to you once you’ve completed the puppy classes.

My puppy is nervous, is this course going to be suitable for them?

  • This course will be great for a nervous puppy! As it's a small class size, I will adapt it for your puppy's needs and make sure it's always a good experience and is going to help them be more confident! If they are already very barky around other dogs, it would be best to get in contact with me before booking so we can assess whether the group setting will be beneficial or whether 121s would be better.
